THE FOODIE-ZINE TAKEOVER

Man, is it just me, or are there are a lot of food-themed zines going around right now? So what’s the deal, can someone fill me in? Has some kind of cartoonist-food-cult been going on that I haven’t been made aware of? Can I please join?

Current list of anthos that I’ve seen on tumblr relating to food:

Breakfast Every Day zine edited by Ripley Hayden and Max Capacity

The Sandwich Zine (not sure of it’s proper title) edited by Daniel Giantomaso aka Stargods

Meat Vol 1 edited by Ryan Dirks

Jashon Fischer’s Burger Mancer Zine (which is not an antho, but still seems to be food themed)

Can’t really do a proper critique of any of these yet since I believe they have all yet to come out. So we’ll just have to see if these fulfill one’s apetite or not!
