You’d think some of the chelsea galleries that are only 1-2 blocks away from the river would have taken better stands to protect their artwork (especially in the basements!). I’m fairly certain that 11th ave & 12th avenues in chelsea were evacuation zones (as in, high risk of flooding), so I’m perplexed that people seem surprised that there is damage.
